Semiotics and semiology focus on the study of symbols, gestures, and communication patterns, allowing us to understand subconscious behaviors that may reveal deception. These include behavioral cues such as microexpressions and body language flaws, while linguistic analysis identifies syntactic and specific language structures.

For instance, pronouns, temporality, and verbs are indicators that help assess the reliability of a statement. By synthesizing these elements, we can detect inconsistencies and reveal hidden truths, thus ensuring more accurate assessments in high-stakes situations, including criminal ones;
